Job Description
Our Calgary based O&G client has a requirement for an SAP BTP (Extension Suite) Technical Lead. The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise, the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues, and be willing to work collaboratively to develop and deliver quality solutions. 2+ years of hands-on experience in developing, testing, and deploying solutions with the SAP BTP.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders C-Suite Executives.
Start Date: August 5, 2024
End Date: November 8, 2024 extension expected
Location: Calgary MT/ Remote/Hybrid – some ADHOC travel may be required
Technical Requirements:
In-depth knowledge of SAP BTP, including its capabilities and services
Proficiency in:
+ ABAP for RAP
+ Node.js or Java for CAP
+ JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
Familiarity with:
+ SAP BTP Cloud Foundry
+ SAP U5 and/or Fiori Elements
+ DevOps and/or Agile environment
+ RESTful APIs, OData Services, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols
Knowledge of different runtime environments: Kyma, Cloud Foundry, and ABAP
Familiarity with:
+ App routers
+ Security using XSUAA.
Expertise in SAP BTP Administration is an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.

- Develop, maintain, and optimize applications and services in the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Design and implement Side-by-side extensibility, on-stack extensibility, and in-app extensions, selecting the best approach based on requirements.
- Create technical designs for applications based on functional requirements.
- Collaborate with developers, functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful solution implementation, following DevOps principles and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
- Establish quality standards in the engineering community, providing innovative solution approaches and suggestions for improvement from an end-td (E2E) perspective.
