Our Client is looking for a SAP FICO Consultant to join the organization in a permanent capacity.
Start: August 2019
Location: Mississauga, ON
Travel: Very little expected
The SAP Finance Business Analyst will support a variety of projects and initiatives within the SAP S/4HANA environment. Reporting to the CIO, the Business Analyst develops solutions to business and technology-related problems. This includes analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to configure, automate or improve system capabilities. Part of the duties will be to perform specific functions under the SAP ERP program related to Finance.
  • Identify project requirements by interfacing with business leads including global leads to analyze operations; determining project scope; document results
  • Understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into system requirements, configurations and customizations
  • Development of documentation, including requirements gathering documentation, functional design documents, test scripts, training materials
  • Assist in data migration including data mapping
  • Assist with identifying changes to processes and systems
  • Perform system configurations (e.g. G/L, A/P, A/R, asset accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting, etc.)
  • Conduct unit testing, functional and system integration testing, both functional and security, and triaging system deficiencies when they occur
  • Business process mapping and document process flows; create procedure manuals for the functions performed
  • Understand business unit workflows and how to use technology solution in support of that workflow
  • Identify and implement and/ or support the implementation of enterprise process improvements
  • Elicit requirements and drive to ‘what the business really needs’
  • Facilitate technical meetings to define solutions, functional specifications, implementation plans, effort, identify resources and schedule activities
  • Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional specifications if required.
  • Facilitate design sessions with vendors and/or business stakeholders
Mandatory Qualifications
  • Experience in configuring SAP Finance modules (FI, AR, AP, CO, COPA, Asset accounting, cost accounting, financial accounting, etc. in S/4 Finance preferred) required
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience configuring and implementing SAP Finance modules
  • Experience with finance strategy and finance operations, including AR, collections, disputes, AP, banking, capital management, asset management, financial accounting, cost accounting, tax, profitability analysis and reporting systems
  • Experience designing and supporting interfaces, conversions and extension activities for SAP FICO
  • SAP Finance certified
  • Strong familiarity with SAP implementation methodologies – experience in the Activate or Agile methodology is preferred
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience working on SAP Cloud Solution and Fiori Apps.
  • Experienced in working on S/4 HANA.
  • Experience using Smartsheet is an asset
  • Pharmaceutical or food and beverage industry knowledge
  • Experience managing small projects, or exposure to the end to end project lifecycle, or managing substantial parts of the project lifecycle is beneficial
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
