Job Description

Our Client is looking for a strong SAP FICO resource to join them on a permanent basis.

Role:
Our Client is a Manufacturing company and is looking for a strong SAP Finance resource to be part of the IT team and primary responsibility is to provide support and consulting services to the mills.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
  • At least 10+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) especially in Product costing.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience working as business systems analyst and/or advisor.
  • Must have at least 2 End to End SAP life cycle implementations as FICO in manufacturing environment.
  • Very good understand of SAP FICO, mixed costing, variance analysis, consolidation and planning, split valuation, COPA and Material Ledger.
  • Must have hands on core SAP FICO expertise and experience with New GL, AP, AR, CO, Classic GL, Taxes, FSCM, and Accounting.
  • Must have strong knowledge of CO-PCA Profit Center, CO-CCA Cost Center Accounting and CO-PC product costing.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of mixed costing, variance analysis, material ledger, split valuation, Lease Accounting and Credit Management and lock Box etc.
  • Strong experience in SAP FICO with integration to other modules MM, SD and PP.
  • Experience in Business process re-engineering with understanding of accounting basics and integration with other tools and applications for financial consolidation.
  • Conduct and document business process reviews, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Guide finance team when defining existing business process to ensure business system requirements are aligned with those processes, including recommendation for improvement and enhancements.
  • Conduct and Co-ordinate SAP Train the Trainer and End User training.
  • Define and document the business system requirements including interfaces between different modules of SAP as well as non-SAP systems.
  • Provide all levels of systems support
  • Evaluate and implement requests for new functionality within SAP within the areas of responsibility.
  • Manage the implementation of new SAP functionality, including business process alignment, configuration and development of ‘out of the box’ solutions, testing, initial post go-live support, continued support of more advanced user requests.
  • Identify and recommend actions to streamline business processes, eliminate redundant or outdated procedures and processes
  • To regularly review the business requirements
  • To identify cost effective ways to improve the processes
  • To assist and/or lead implementation of new solutions for the business.
  • Participate in internal and external financial audits to comply with mandatory guidelines.
  • Ability to lead process and systems improvements
  • Able to lead any project if required
  • Must be able to travel periodically to support the Mills
Certifications and Skills:
In order to fill the requirements of this position, the incumbent must possess the following academic education, work related experience and skills:
  • SAP Certification
  • PM certification is an asset
  • 5 years of general business/manufacturing industry experience.
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Independent, organised and problem-solving mindset
  • Proactive, eager to learn and adaptable to change
  • 5+ years' experience in business finance
  • Good communication and facilitation skills
  • Bi-lingual in French an asset
  • ABAP/4 Query Programming knowledge is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Projects, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Visio
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • Preferred CPA/CGA designation or equivalent.
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
