Our Client is looking for a SAP MM Consultant to join their team in a permanent capacity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  1. Act as the primary liaison between Supply Chain and Information Technology teams.
  2. Focus on the business process activities in the Materials management, Production planning, Quality management and business allocations.
  3. Expertise in Procure-to-Pay cycle, Materials Management and Inventory Management processes.
  4. Possess detailed knowledge in PO/PR Release strategy setup based on various business requirements.
  5. Integrations skills with FI/SD/PP and Third Party solutions.
  6. Analyze and document business processes and requirements.
  7. Develop functional SAP system designs from customer/business requirements.
  8. Conduct workshops and presentations with users and management to facilitate solution development and continuous improvement in the implemented design.
  9. Identify benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system design solutions and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules.
  10. Work with IT analyst(s) in identifying and designing the use of user exits, function modules and other programs as required.
  11. Executes system unit testing, integration testing and regression testing (build test cases, performs tests, suggest changes to configuration or processes based on results and resolves errors).
  12. Perform simple SAP configuration to satisfy a solution designed to meet customer requirements.
  13. Support Quality Assurance requirements.
  14. Assist in the development end user training on new functionality implemented.
  15. Provide on-going business user support and issue resolution.
  16. Take a leadership role to identify process improvement opportunities, provide recommendations and implement solutions.
  17. Define and implement project plans, lead/coordinate small project teams as assigned.
  18. Provide support to rollout/implementation teams.
  19. Conduct formal and informal presentations to customers, peers, and management.
  20. Assist service providers and others to implement changes and resolve issues in processes/systems.
  21. Conducting user training on new functionality implemented or refresher training.
Requirements:
  • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university with 5+ years of IT related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five years of experience defining and implementing business process improvements, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Three to Five years SAP configuration and user support experience in MM, PP and QM. 
  • One to Two full SAP project life cycle implementations and go-lives required.  Additional live implementation and/or version upgrade experiences are a plus.
  • Functional SAP knowledge of SAP Procure to pay and fulfillment cycle, Production planning, Quality management and Material planning and allocations.
  • Experience in the following areas: Procurement, Stock Transfer Order (STO), Material Valuation, Inventory Management, Physical inventory, Production planning, Production execution, SOP, and Quality management, Variant configuration and distribution
Skills/Abilities
  • Must be able to translate business requirements into new business processes, models and system solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP module integration and downstream impacts.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills and willingness to work in a team and project-oriented environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and manage multiple projects and resources effectively.
