Job Description

Our Client is looking for a Senior SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant to join their SAP Implementation Project on a long term contract.
 
Start: January 6, 2020
End: ~April 2022
Duration: 124 weeks
Location: Toronto
Workweek: 35 hours
 
Role:
The SAP Plant Maintenance Consultant will be responsible for:
  • Providing guidance and expert knowledge of the Plant Maintenance module and its integrations into other SAP modules leveraging SAP best practices
  • Lead the team with Plant Maintenance business processing and mapping to the Client’s requirements, integrating with their existing landscape
  • Ensuring alignment of design with the Client’s and Industry's Standards
  • Participate in project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go-live and post go-live support activities
  • Provide expert understanding of SAP Plant Maintenance and its integrations with other related modules (ex. Material Management, Production Planning, Personnel Management, and Sales and Distribution)
  • Leading the design, development and configuration of the Plant Maintenance module ensuring alignment to the project direction
  • Working with the project team to develop cost effective SAP solution designs, factoring in the following: licenses, configuration, development, integrations, and security
  • Analyze business requirements (e.g., functional and technical requirements, information need, business processes) by conducting information-gathering sessions with clients, analyzing the information and being able to document an accurate understanding of their business requirements and mapping of those to SAP business processes
  • Leverage SAP's Activate methodology to deliver solutions
  • Align solution designs with SAP's product roadmap and industry trends
Mandatory Requirements:
  • At least 12 years of SAP Plant Maintenance experience
  • At least 4 full SAP implementations
  • Experience with other related modules (ex. Material Management, Production Planning, Personnel Management, and Sales and Distribution) is a strong asset
  • Public sector preferred
Other Skills / Certification:
  • SAP Certification in Plant Maintenance would be an asset
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • Agile project methodology knowledge
Deliverables:
  1. Provide expertise in regards to SAP Plant Maintenance, to develop cost effective solution design, factoring in the following: SAP licenses, SAP configuration, integrations and security based on SAP best practices
  2. Analyse existing processes and define areas for improvement with the Plant Maintenance module, aligning with Client’s requirements and industry standards
  3. Develop process models based on business requirements in order to determine the completeness of the information and process components.
  4. Participate in the deployment of the new business processes within the scope of this project, including end-user training / demos / workshops and transition to support Team, ensuring all defects are triaged and brought to resolution
  5. Participate in project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, go-live and post go-live support activities, creating project documentation where necessary
  6. Provide solution documentation and knowledge transfer to Client’s staff as required
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
