Our client is looking for a:Senior SAP Basis Consultant for part time sustainment work.

Start: Jan 2019

End:  Mar 29 2019

Duration: 3 months 

Location: On Site in Burnaby 

Utilization : Part time/ schedule issued 1 week in advance  approx 3 days 

Local Resources only 

Operations for SAP Basis components including;

  • Windows/MS SQL – Portal, PO, ESS/MSS, Solution Manager, TREX, web dispatcher, Content Server, SLD, SRM-MDM, BOBJ, Netweaver Gateway

Windows non-SAP –Directory, uPerform Project support for:

  • SAP Support Packages and Enhancement Packages for ERP, SRM, BW and other components using SWPM
  • ASCS and PAS application servers on UNIX/Linux environment
  • Portal 7.5 patches using SUM
  • Suite on HANA 2.0 for ECC, SRM and BW – Refresh systems
  • Solution Manager 7.2 – Monitoring, ChaRM configuration
  • Time Entry & Approval (Fiori NetWeaver Gateway installation and configuration)
  • HANA backup and recovery
  • SSO and LDAPS integration
  • SAP PI and SLD
  • Maintenance planner
  • CTS+ configuration


The Basis Analyst will report to the IT Team Lead – Basis and will provide the following deliverables which include, but are not limited to;

  • Completion of operational basis tasks related to production and non-production systems
  • Complete all and/or portions of upgrades to SAP and in scope applications on UNIX and Windows
  • Perform detailed analysis of system issues and problems with recommendation for resolution
  • Coordinate  with  other  Basis  team  members  to  ensure  status  updates  and  task completion are transparent and communicated
  • Provide detailed specification guide to complete upgrades so that other Basis team members can be cross-trained and complete the upgrade in other systems
  • Perform Basis administration activities essential to the delivery of SAP services and projects
  • Provide  mentoring  and  knowledge  transfer  to  City  IT  team  on  systems  set  up, configuration and support requirements
  • Provide ad-hoc operational support as requested by the IT Team Lead – Basis
  • Provide  formal  documentation,  in  accordance  with  the  City’s  Project  Lifecycle Methodology, and documentation standards

Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
