Job Description

Our Calgary AB  based global client requires an SAP CLM Procurement Data Scientist/ Power BI Developer to join their Procurement COE team to support building  unified data models  and dashboard reporting including requirement gathering , data mapping between ERP systems, designing test scenarios and error-free deployment.

Role: ERP Procurement Data Scientist/PowerBI Developer

Start: Jan 09 2023
End: Jan 08 2024
Location: Hybrid/Calgary AB preferred ,  MT work hours  or Remote Delivery with ADHOC travel 

Skills required 
• Proficient in Power BI and/or other dashboarding tools
• Proficient in ERP systems ¬– SAP, Oracle, S4
• Understanding of cloud-based CLM tools, specifically Ariba, Fieldglass
• Proficient in one or more of the following: SQL, R & Python
• Advanced MS Suite knowledge (MS Forms, Power Automate, Excel, etc).
• Understanding of AWS, GCP or MS Azure will be considered an asset
• Fundamental understanding of classification algorithms in machine learning will be considered an asset

• Excellent Understanding of Supply Chain functions and processes, inclusive of source-to-pay process
• Understanding of Taxonomies and UNSPSC, as well as Supplier Tiering
• Ability to normalize and analyze data from multiple data sources
• Excellent analytics and data visualization experience, ability to look for trends in data, tell data stories and make recommendations
• Experience in building data-driven decision support systems will be considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of mining, chemicals and/or manufacturing industries
• Ability to work with multiple priorities with various stakeholders
• Self-starter, motivated, and driven individual
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
• Technology focused mind set, with an eye on upcoming technologies, RPA, OCR, Machine Learning would be considered an asset


Key Tasks of the Role:
• Collaborate with the Data Services teams to build unified data models including requirement gathering from the stakeholders, data mapping between ERP systems, designing test scenarios and error-free deployment
• Work with Supply Chain groups to gather required report requirements to build insight-driven dashboards, conduct data analysis and present recommendations
• Work with the Systems and Integrations teams on various initiatives around taxonomies, supplier tiers, fleet, inventory dashboarding
• Support other BU Initiatives, like Fleet, Buy Channels etc, with data reporting and analytics as required
• Work with numerous stakeholders on data mapping and reporting initiatives


Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
