Our client is looking for a Cross-Functional Analytics Lead for a 12 month, hybrid mandate.
Location: GTA preferred, could also be GMA
Work Model: Hybrid - onsite/remote (flexible)
Start Date: June/July
Duration: 1 year
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the interface between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clear translation of business needs into data and analytics requirements
- Collaborate with IT functional leads and business process owners to map SAP data requirements to the new data lake architecture
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops, helping stakeholders define current-state reporting, KPIs, and analytics needs across SAP domains
- Support the design of target-state data models by identifying the business logic, critical tables, and reporting needs associated with each domain
- Align stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other domains on data governance, definitions, and ownership
- Provide business insight during user acceptance testing (UAT) and help ensure reporting solutions meet business expectations post-migration
- Champion self-serve analytics strategies by helping business users understand how to access and use data from the lake
- Identify and escalate gaps or risks related to business alignment, data interpretation, or reporting consistency
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive cross-functional SAP knowledge: strong understanding of multiple SAP domains (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.) and their associated data
- Experience supporting a data migration from SAP to a Data Lake (Azure/Fabric preferred)
- Strong understanding of how SAP data is structured and consumed for business reporting and analytics
- Skilled in facilitating workshops, gathering requirements, and translating business needs into functional data/reporting use cases
- Proven ability to liaise between business users, IT teams, and data/analytics developers
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Lake platforms
- Experience supporting data governance or business data ownership initiatives
- Exposure to self-serve BI tools such as Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, Tableau, etc.
- Certification in SAP functional modules is an asset
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
