Role: HCM Manager working in the SAP COE leading a team of 10 people
Reports to: Director of HR Solutions
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Calgary - Full time onsite; Are open to people willing to relocate to Calgary; Open to Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or holding a Canadian work permit with more than 2 years remaining on the permit.
Compensation: Salary + Short Term Incentive + Long Term Incentive + Benefits.
Experience: 8-10 years relevant experience in HCM Implementation and Support
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Application Delivery Manager for Human Capital Management, reporting to the Director HR Solutions, in the SAP CoE will lead a team of 10+ highly skilled IT professionals responsible for building and supporting our CPKC HR applications in SAP ECC, SuccessFactors and in other platforms. The Application Delivery Manager is accountable to drive projects to improve current applications, and lead implementation of the latest technologies in the SAP space to help business achieve performance targets.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide input to and lead execution of HCM technology roadmap by working with Information Systems (IS) team, Enterprise Architecture, Business Transformation Partners, and Business stakeholders.
- Manage, develop and coach IS Team Leads, Functional Analysts, System Specialists, and Developers to support their applications portfolio, including cross-training & knowledge transfer. In addition, ensure on-time and on-budget projects delivery using IS PMO tools.
- Execute administration activities such as cost and planning estimates, status reports, and resource plans. Ability to manage multiple work streams and balance competing demands for scope, time, cost, quality, risk and resources;
- Demonstrates technical project / team management skills that may require technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, technical process or project.
- On some projects, where applicable, manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
- Provides leadership in investigating high priority incidents and steward the problem management process.
- Stewards the support of HR systems in compliance with CPKC’s incident and problem management processes; and determined Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Introduces best practices to support systems, processes and teams such as ITIL.
- Works with IS Security team and stewards the vulnerability management process to ensure HR systems are safe, secure and efficiently operational.
- Deliver Application Service Requests and enhancements to support the business needs for the application bundles ensuring key deliverables are completed such as requirements gathering, design reviews and solution walkthroughs, build phase, testing phases, change management, and implementation processes using the defined tools such as SAP Solution Manager, JIRA and Q-test.
- Liaise with various IS teams and business application owners for incidents and net new projects related to HCM
- Manage on-call schedule and rotation. Availability for escalations concerning high priority incidents raised outside office hours (24 x 7 support)
- Manage compliance with SAP Security (GRC), SOX, internal controls, audit and legal requirements.
- Drive accountability to build a high performing team;
- Stakeholder management to maintain a priority list of pending items.
- Provide outlook for replacement or decommissioning of applications at risk of being on black technology;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or Technical Discipline Required
- 10+ years’ relevant experience in HCM Implementation and Support
- Extensive experience in the Hire to Retire area including support and transformation.
- Prior hands-on configuration, implementation and support experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA and SuccessFactors preferred
- Good understanding of SAP modules that integrate with HCM (PM, PP, QM, FICO, HR, Basis and Security)
- 5 years of experience of managing IT Project/Support teams with increasing degrees of responsibilities and stakeholder management
- Understanding of technology-driven product development processes and methodologies for effective delivery and support;
- Knowledge and understanding of ITIL based IT service management processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Security standards and best practices.
- High degree of analytical skills;
- Existing knowledge of supported tools/services and/or high degree of technical aptitude;
- Fundamental knowledge of railway operations and processes an asset.
