Our Calgary based client requires a Jira Administrator to help restructure and refine their legacy Jira environment, ensuring it aligns with best practices and meets the evolving needs of their teams.
You will analyze, organize, and revamp a legacy Jira environment, addressing inconsistencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing enhancements. Your expertise will help bring clarity and efficiency to our project tracking and management processes.
Job Title: Jira Administrator Location: (Calgary AB) Remote , Hybrid or On-Site Start Date: ASAP Duration: 3 to 6-Month Contract (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
•Assess the current Jira environment and identify areas for improvement.
•Clean up outdated workflows, schemes, and configurations.
•Implement best practices for Jira administration, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
•Collaborate with stakeholders to align Jira settings with organizational requirements.
•Provide training and documentation for end-users to promote efficient use of Jira tools.
•Monitor and troubleshoot Jira performance issues, ensuring optimal functionality.
•Integrate Jira with third-party tools where necessary.
Required Qualifications:
•Proven experience as a Jira Administrator in an enterprise setting.
•Strong understanding of Jira workflows, permissions, schemes, and customizations.
•Familiarity with Agile methodologies and their application in Jira.
•Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Groovy, REST API).
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
•Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
•Experience using Test Management tools as Xray, including Test reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience migrating or upgrading Jira environments.
•Knowledge of Confluence and other Atlassian tools.
•Certifications in Atlassian products.
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
