SAP Project Control Officer (PCO)
Location: Cambridge, Ontario
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days per week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Immediate Start to February 2027)
Note: Occasional overtime may be required to support key project milestones and deployment activities.
Reports To: SAP Program Manager
Position Overview
Our client is undertaking a global SAP S/4HANA transformation program and is seeking an experienced Project Control Officer (PCO) to support the successful delivery of this enterprise-wide implementation. Based in Cambridge, Ontario, this role will work closely with the SAP Program Manager and project leadership team to provide comprehensive project governance, financial oversight, reporting, and administrative support throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the SAP Program Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of the global SAP S/4HANA deployment.
  • Provide end-to-end project control and PMO support across multiple project workstreams.
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Track project budgets, forecasts, expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
  • Manage timesheet collection, approvals, and reporting.
  • Coordinate change requests, project documentation, and governance activities.
  • Maintain project dashboards, status reports, organizational charts, and executive reporting materials.
  • Track contracts, statements of work, and project deliverables to ensure timely completion and approvals.
  • Support month-end financial processes and project reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the SAP Program Management Office (PMO).
  • Collaborate with project managers, functional leads, business stakeholders, and external implementation partners to ensure project activities remain on schedule.
Required Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale IT projects as a Project Control Officer (PCO), Project Coordinator, or PMO Analyst.
  • Experience supporting enterprise SAP implementation projects; SAP S/4HANA project experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, budgeting, financial tracking, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated experience tracking project schedules, deliverables, risks, issues, and action items.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience preparing executive dashboards, reports, and project presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting a global SAP S/4HANA implementation.
  • Experience working within a PMO supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
