Duration: 2 year employment contract
Location: Downtown Toronto
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite
Role:
- Responsible for the development of the overall change and change communication plans with the goal of ensuring the highest levels of adoption of a wide range of IT technology solutions across the organization.
- Collaborating with the vendor and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions to the desired states in the most effective manner. Plans must be addressing the needs of all levels of the organization including employees, leaders, customers where impacted, suppliers, contractors and other third parties as applicable.
- Responsible for overseeing the assessment of the organization’s needs, aligning transition, change management and communication plans, developing and implementing performance measures that assess change readiness and adoption.
- Working directly with the Project Lead with oversight from the Steering Committee, the vendor, IT and functional stakeholders, accountable for developing the change and communications plan to drive support, training plans, change readiness and ultimately acceptance, adoption and sustainability to meet and exceed the objective of successful change agility and adoption with minimum disruption to the daily and overall business of the organization.
- Ensure the necessary internal and vendor resources and assets are designed, created, and delivered to support the successful implementation of the project across the organization.
- Managing compliance to the project execution strategies and plans, including change governance for specific tasks. This will require making sure change and communication plan milestones are achieved and issues are managed to minimize or eliminate project vulnerabilities or risks.
Requirements:
- 10 or more years as a Change Leader
- Must have extensive experience leading enterprise-wide technology transformation projects and delivery experience driving desired business outcomes, identifying gaps and omissions and the agility to design solutions along the way
- Should have exposure, if not experience with Organizational Design and Operating Module initiatives
- Experience in Retail and with organizations that have over 100 locations
- Experience leading change in an organization with a unionized environment is a plus
- Outstanding project management and communication skills
- The ability to build and foster solid, collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization and with third parties including System Integrators
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with extensive experience managing complex projects, and be fully versed with change management principles
- The ability to influence, persuade, motivate, and mentor others
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
