The OpenAI - SAP Process Enterprise Architect Consultant helps enterprise customers discover, design, and prototype agentic AI solutions across SAP-enabled business processes. This is a hybrid Day 0 presales, process transformation, architecture, and solution-building role. The consultant must be comfortable moving from executive-level process value conversations into technical architecture and early prototype delivery.

Key Responsibilities
1. Customer-facing advisory and Day 0 presales
- Lead customer conversations on OpenAI-enabled SAP process transformation.
- Run discovery workshops to identify agentic AI opportunities across business and IT processes.
- Translate process pain points into use cases, solution concepts, demos, and phased transformation roadmaps.
- Support presales activities including solution shaping, value case development, demo narratives, and proposal input.
- Communicate effectively with CIOs, CTOs, COOs, CFOs, SAP leaders, enterprise architects, process owners, and innovation teams.
- Explain how OpenAI can act as an intelligent process layer on top of SAP and other enterprise systems.
2. SAP process transformation
- Order-to-Cash: sales orders, pricing, availability, delivery, billing, collections, customer inquiries, and order exceptions.
- Procure-to-Pay: requisitions, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, goods receipt, invoice matching, approvals, and supplier queries.
- Record-to-Report: journal entries, reconciliations, close activities, variance explanations, reporting, and compliance support.
- Plan-to-Produce / Supply Chain: demand exceptions, supply constraints, inventory issues, production planning, MRP, and decision support.
- Service and support: employee helpdesk, customer service, field service, ticket creation, policy Q&A, and knowledge retrieval.
3. Agentic AI opportunity identification
- Assess where AI agents can assist, automate, orchestrate, or recommend actions within SAP-enabled workflows.
- Design human-in-the-loop workflows for sensitive decisions, approvals, compliance checks, and exception handling.
- Identify opportunities for document interpretation, structured data extraction, transaction guidance, case creation, workflow routing, and root cause analysis.
- Define agent personas, task boundaries, tools, prompts, guardrails, escalation rules, audit requirements, and success metrics.
- Quantify productivity impact through FTE capacity release, cycle-time reduction, improved first-contact resolution, reduced rework, and better process compliance.
4. Solution architecture and SAP-to-OpenAI integration
- Design high-level and detailed solution architectures for OpenAI + SAP use cases.
- Define integration patterns between OpenAI applications, SAP APIs, SAP BTP, middleware, enterprise applications, and workflow systems.
- Guide the creation of MCP servers that expose SAP data, transactions, and workflows to OpenAI agents through secure tool interfaces.
