Our Client is looking for an SAP Basis Engineer to join as a permanent employee.
Start: April 2026
Location: Downtown Toronto
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, 4 days per week onsite, mandatory
Role:
The SAP Basis Engineer will:
- Direct the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including S/4 HANA, SAP CAR, SAP BTP, and other SAP components.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and kernel updates to ensure the SAP environment is up-to-date and secure.
- Monitor and manage system performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Mitigate risks to the system while ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Lead the analysis of system performance metrics and implement tuning measures to optimize SAP system performance.
- Enforce SAP security policies, roles, and authorizations to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Supervise regular system audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards, including data governance and privacy requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP system configurations, processes, and procedures.
About You
- Bachelors' degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related experience
- 7+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, including S/4 HANA and SAP BTP. Hands-on experience with SAP HANA, S/4 HANA, and SAP NetWeaver.
- Experience with system upgrades, performance tuning and troubleshooting and SAP security management.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP implementations in a multi-system environment.
- Familiarity with cloud-based SAP solutions and hybrid landscapes, especially in S/4 HANA with RISE contexts.
- Experience with Transport management across multiple environments.
- Proficiency in database management (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience with Cloud Managed Infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with tools like Solution Manager, SAP Fiori, and SAP Cloud Platform.
- Ability to be onsite in Toronto, ON 4 days per week.
Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
