Job Description

Our client is looking to hire a full-time perm SAP CoE Director for a full-time perm position. Start date is now. Hybrid model. Looking for a bilingual candidate. The technical environment is S4.

Reporting to the SAP Implementation Project Manager, the SAP Center of Excellence Director is responsible for all aspects of the SAP  application deployment after implementation. These responsibilities include the design and development of the evolution solution, the continuous improvement of the overall model, the  deployment of new functionalities as  well as the  maintenance and support.

The person will also be responsible for the   day-to-day management  of the  CoE and the  implementation of the core  processes, procedures and competencies of  the CoE.   Given that SAP is being rolled out in  several business units, the  Director will participate in the   implementation of future   deployments, the evolution of existing business units  already on SAP, knowledge transfer and  the gradual transition from implementation to operation.

  • Develop   and execute the    business evolution  roadmap  on the SAP platform  by working with SI  to ensure demand is prioritized.     
  • Project and release  planning,  construction, documentation  and  testing  of solutions,   and support for  business functions.
  • Collaborate with   IT managers such as  solution  architects,  release managers,  project  management office, and  infrastructure and operations team  to assess the feasibility,   impacts,   costs and  risks of new  requirements (e.g.  a new net functional  deployment of  SAP, etc.)
  • Build and  develop the team of  business analysts to  make it a successful, efficient and effective team.
  • Provide  ongoing  guidance     to  business and process leaders in fulfilling their newly acquired responsibilities.
  • Provide  support to business units  already deployed on SAP  while   continuing to deploy  SAP in   other business units. 
  • Work with  business   process  owners  (BPOs) in the  design and     implementation of    super user network collaboration practices to encourage the sharing of   knowledge,  peer consultations   and teamwork.
  • Assess team  competencies and offer  customized  development  training programs.

  • 10 years of experience in SAP,  bachelor's degree  required
  • 3 years of practical  experience with S/4 Hana
  • Experience in creating and managing a Center of Excellence
  •  Experience in implementing  change management plans

Nice to have
  • Experience or knowledge of the  distribution sector
  •  Recognized certification  of an agile/SCRUM executive
