Our Client has a requirement for an SAP Functional Lead - Project Systems (PS).
Industry: Utility and Energy Role: SAP Functional Lead – SAP Project Systems (Manager level) Start date: ASAP Duration: 1+ year Location & work model: Winnipeg, MB - Hybrid / full-time (40 hours/week), 50-70% travel to Winnipeg. Candidate can be from any location in Canada but travelling to the client site is one of the key requirements. Please note that number of days on site is undetermined, so candidate needs to be bit flexible. Range of target pay rate: approx. $160/hour (Preferred Bill Rate of $125/hour or less).
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years and ideally 8+ years of experience working with SAP PS and/or PPM modules and participation in 2-3 full life cycle implementations (or equivalent experience) required, preferable in a team lead capacity.
Thorough experience in configuration and implementing the SAP Project Systems module, including integrations with maintenance, service, and finance (i.e. Network/WBS, cost capture, settlement, etc.)
Experience delivering SAP PS and/or PPM solutions for Power & Utilities, Oil, Gas and/or Energy clients is a bonus.
Soft-skills:
Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interfacing with a client on a daily basis. This role requires daily interaction with the client at many levels including executives.
Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills.
Effectively team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
Ability to drive the client to make difficult decisions during transformation programs. Need to be able to navigate complex business problems and translate SAP functional requirements to a business audience.
Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget.
Ability to challenge stakeholders against SAP industry best-practices and propose creative solutions to address business requirements.
Participated in large scale SAP client engagements with prior consulting experience
Monitor progress manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
Hard-skills:
A university degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance, or a related field.
SAP certification/s are highly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP PS and/or PPM modules.
Participation in 2-3 full life cycle implementations (or equivalent experience) required, preferable in a team lead capacity.
Experience in design, configuration, best-practices in SAP Project Systems, Portfolio and Project Manager modules.
Experience executing a business blueprint and documenting business requirements that can be understood by a technical process team as well as functional business users.
Experience in configuration and implementing the SAP Project Systems module, including integrations with maintenance, service, and finance (ie. Network/WBS, cost capture, settlement, etc.)
Development of project documentation, training materials, requirements gathering, and project management methodology experience required.
Experience in design, configuration, best-practices in Commercial Project Management (CPM) modules is a bonus.
Interest and/or experience in how SAP PS, PPM solutions integrate with upstream and downstream non SAP solutions is a bonus.
Experience delivering SAP PS and/or PPM solutions for Power & Utilities, Oil, Gas and/or Energy clients is a bonus.
