Our Client is looking for a full time resource to be the lead SAP PP (Production Planning) Functional Analyst.
Job Title: SAP PP (Production Planning) Functional Analyst
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Calgary. Hybrid: 3 days onsite at the Calgary downtown office and 2 days work from home.
Relocation Expense: Preference is for local but will consider relocation costs for the right candidate.
Role Reports To: Senior Manager, SAP Operations

- SAP Functional Analyst experience with 3+ full lifecycle implementations (S/4HANA preferred)

Description of Role:
This role is part of the SAP Operations/IT Business System team and is responsible for all SAP processes and system modules that support business operations. This role requires skills in business analysis, process design, system solutioning, implementation, and sustainment of SAP solutions to help our Client achieve its High Performance / High Value goals. This role will be heavily focused on ongoing improvements, expansion initiatives, as well as monthly releases and production support.

DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Provide primary support for SAP Manufacturing (Production Planning), SAP Enterprise Asset Management (Plant Maintenance) and/or Contract-to-Billing (Sales & Distribution) modules within SAP S/4HANA
- Serve as subject matter expert for SAP Production Planning and related operations functions, ensuring integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.) and technical areas (Fiori, ABAP, Security, Reporting)
- Perform application configuration, requirement analysis, fit/gap assessments, and prepare functional specifications; lead workshops and communicate technical capabilities to business teams
- Build strong relationships with business process owners and IT teams; align projects through regular meetings and support change management with documentation, training, and job aids
- Identify process improvement opportunities, manage security access requirements, and utilize project management and process improvement expertise to optimize resources and deliver solutions
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience; 8+ years as an SAP Functional Analyst with 3+ full lifecycle implementations (S/4HANA preferred)
- Strong configuration skills in SAP PP and at least one of SAP SD, SCM, or PM; solid understanding of SAP integration across core modules
- Proven ability to design and optimize business processes; experience in manufacturing or oil & gas is an asset
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills; ability to translate technical solutions into business-friendly language
