The Role description: Our Client requires a Project Manager to manage the design phases of an SAP S/4HANA implementation where it relates to the following:
SAP Security design for S/4HANA
Lead to Cash redesign
Custom code analysis and refactoring design
New Asset Accounting within SAP S/4
Customer/Vendor Integration and conversion to Business Partner model
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Responsibilities
Support capital projects from an IS perspective
Accountable to leverage standard project management processes and including them in the PMO Delivery document repository
Champions and leads standardization of systems, processes, procedures and templates as it relates to the project activities
Adheres to the PMO Delivery governance lifecycle, standards, templates and tools on project
Project Specific Responsibilities
Assist business and manage IT resources with documentation and finalization of scope of work during the design and planning phases of projects
Collaborate with the business lead(s) on the identification of project tasks, resources, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies as they relate to both business and IS
Creation of the funding request, project charter, project planning & control documents for projects
Have a fundamental focus on estimating, scheduling, planning, scoping, cost control, business change management and overall project management
Ensure all project resource requirements are met; optimally utilizing IS staff, term employees, contractors and consultants as required
Ensure project contract strategies meet all legal and risk management requirements
Coordinate with architecture team to ensure solutions align with end state goals/objectives and operational processes
Coordinate Business Analysts and System Analysts with the analysis, definition and documentation of requirements for business process modeling, data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs
Ensure all project team members are clear on project scope, objectives, individual discipline accountabilities and schedule commitments
Identify integration and project risk and establish and execute risk mitigation plans
Manage quality, schedule, scope and cost to meet all project objectives
Report progress to internal and external clients and obtain approval for all scope changes
Report monthly project financials, progress, and risk to management
Manage relationship and administer contracts with all subcontractors and material suppliers associated with assigned projects, and be prepared to approve, authorize and sign-off as appropriate
Qualifications:
Over 10 years of Project management experience with IS projects greater than $1 million
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in: Successfully delivering IT projects on budget, scope & schedule; Following the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Building and maintaining customer relationships; Negotiation and conflict resolution; Planning and organization; Leading and motivating teams of IT professionals and business users; Building trust between technical and business staff; Running focused, disciplined teams through periods of competing priorities and technical uncertainties
Excellent working knowledge of MS Project Professional, Word, Excel & Power Point
A team player with very strong communication and interpersonal skills
Methodical, analytical and systematic approach to work with organization and time management skills
