Job Description

Our client is looking for a Technical Business Analyst for a 1 year contract.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:
  • working with  technical and business teams to understand our business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  •  working with the development team to ensure that  products are built to meet our business requirements.
  • You should be a technical and business-savvy individual with great communication skills.
 
Start: June 24th, 2024
End: June 23rd,2025
Location: Calgary, AB
Work model: Hybrid (4:1)

Key Requirements: 
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Experience in IT technical business analysis
  • Experience with project coordination
  • Experience working with outsourced service providers and internal IT domain project teams (infrastructure and applications)
  • Experience working at a large oil & gas company


Duties:
  • Work with the project manager to develop project scope and timeline
  • Analyze and interpret user requirements, user stories, use cases, and system architecture documents
  • Participate in design and testing activities, review code, and participate in system implementations
  • Assist with maintaining and documenting systems
  • Perform data validation checks
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of business processes, policies, and procedures
  • Diligence in reviewing data to be input to system
  • Identify, quantify, and document business process improvements
  • Identify, analyze, and document user interface issues
  • Create user documentation including process flows, roles and responsibilities, and use cases
  • Train users on system processes and application
  • Identify and resolve system-specific issues through research and analysis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze new technologies and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Gather, analyze, and document customer information, needs, and existing processes
  • Develop and communicate technical requirements, including design, build, and test plans
  • Identify, validate, and mitigate technology risks
  • Develop innovative, efficient, effective, and scalable solutions
  • Evaluate usability and scalability of solutions
  • Work with business stakeholders and IT to implement changes
  • Design, document, test, and implement software solutions
  • Execute and support infrastructure audits and reviews
  • Track and report on project metrics
  • Develop, maintain, and document project plans
  • Manage, document, and support project schedule


    Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
