Job Description

Our client is looking for a Training Instructional Designer for a 4 months mandate.

Overview
SAP Service Management (SAPSM), of the Cyber Security and Digital Services Department, is responsible for planning and delivering a portfolio of SAP related projects for its client organizations. The SAP Modernization Program is currently executing activities to launch the S/4 HANA implementation efforts. The modernization of the SAP systems involves enabling significant business transformation within the client organizations, with a large focus on business process change, implementing new SAP applications and migrating the SAP applications to the cloud.

These activities are focused on executing program/project strategies, project deliverables, tasks etc. required to oversee and deliver the SAP MP Program. The Finance and Logistic Services (FLS) project is in entering the realization phase of implementing FICO, EAM (AM & PM), P2P (Procurement, IM, Logistics and Ariba Buying), SAC, FM and PS.

The Consultants selected via this SOW will work within a multi-disciplined team to create blended course material to be delivered to the client. As part of the process, the training instructional designer will be responsible for development of module overviews, co-creation/editing of BPP’s, and creating In-App simulations flows in SAP Enable Now that will also be implemented as part of this project.

This SOW relates to one (1) Organizational Change Management (OCM) Training Instructional Designer role currently being procured for the SAP Modernization Program.

1.1         Project Scope and Timeframes
The Instructional Designers (the Consultants) selected via this SOW will report to the SAPMP Training Lead. He/she will be responsible for delivering services as herein defined. The primary scope of work required from the Consultant will be to develop course material.  The Consultant will work closely with the business resources, Change Managers, Process Leads and SAP MP project team members.


1.2         Key Duties & Responsibilities:
The Training Instructional Designer Consultant is responsible for course development and trainer readiness to the business resources as identified, to support the deployment of SAP MP FLS to users.

Key activities include the following:
•            Prep, editing and publishing of Business Process Procedures – working with the Business Specialists.
•            Validating, editing and approval of the course outlines with the business specialists.
•            Creation of S/4 Hana Module overviews and all related user guides, exercise guides, quick reference guides, and appendix items.
•            Complete all training documentation as assigned to each developer within the timelines established.
•            Participate in all change/business/functional meetings as required for knowledge transfer and training content.
•            Review all process team deliverables for training process education requirements.
•            Ensure the instructional integrity of training documentation by adherence to SAP MP course development standards.
•            Participate in train-the-trainer and assist in trainer readiness for business resources and dry-run training sessions.
•            Identify exercise scenarios in conjunction with Course Owners
•            Identify and ensure that data load requirements are met for the training environment.
•            Assist in creating and loading data into the training environments.
•            Report course development status to Training Team Lead
•            Communicate project related issues to Training Team Lead
•            Use SAP Enable Now to create simulations, In-App flows, as determined by Training Lead
•            Validate and test the exercise scenarios in the training environment – S/4 HANA and FIORI

1.3         Candidate Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
The consultant must fulfill the following qualifications:
o            Minimum 2 years’ previous experience as a Training Instructional Designers on large scale ERP projects.
o            Minimum 2 years’ experience developing training material working with S/4 HANA & FIORI.
o            Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with 1 or many of the following SAP modules; P2P (S/4 HANA Procurement, Inventory Management & Logistics)
o            Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with SAP Enable Now or another Digital Adoption Tool.
o            Strong writing skills.
o            Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
o            Team player able to communicate effectively in diverse teams. o Excellent communication skills - listening, written and oral; and o Ability to plan and prioritize work.

Desired Qualifications:
It is desirable for the Consultant to have the following qualifications:
o            eLearning, self-paced course development, audio, and video recording experience.
o            Detail oriented – experience in fast paced projects.
o            Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
o            A self-starter, flexible, can adapt to constant change.
o            Must be able to work as a team member and work independently.
o            Ability to function working remotely, participating in multiple MS Team meetings.
o            Prior experience working with Government/Public Sector SAP projects.
o            French course development experiences a bonus since we will have a need for French translation.

2.           Consultant / Department Responsibilities
The Consultant’s role is to work closely with the designated lead to complete and report on the deliverables as assigned. In addition, the responsibilities of the Consultant include:
•            Providing the SAPMP Training & KT Lead with:
•            Work Plan updates
•            Regular status reports
•            Issues to be addressed; and
•            Risks to be managed / mitigated.
•            Adhering to SAP MP project guidelines and standards Terms

The terms and conditions to be applied to resources selected under this SOW include:
Working hours
o            The Consultant will define their work plan in conjunction with the Training lead.
o            Nova Scotia statutory holidays are in effect.
•            Confidentiality
o            The nature of the work described herein is both sensitive and confidential. The selected candidate will be required to complete the SAPSM Division’s Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Work Location
o            Work to be carried out remotely from the Consultant’s office, a government laptop and email will be provided but the consultant will be required to use their own cell phone.
o            The Consultant must be available to attend meetings remotely and on the rare occasion there may be a requirement to travel to Halifax.
o            Any travel, must be pre-approved and would be reimbursed by the project.


Must have Work Authorization for Canada.
